Tough Love: New Orleans will follow the show's usual format, in which "love gurus" Steve Ward and his mother JoAnn dispense brutally honest advice to women with a variety of dating dysfunctions, but this time in New Orleans*, a city the show's website says is "famous for its handsome Southern gentlemen and wild nights out on the town."
The VH1 blog published a post today announcing the cast, which includes a woman named Shalana from Metairie (the rest of the six cast members are from New Jersey, Atlanta, Ga., Boston, Mass., and Texas).
The show premieres April 15 at 8 p.m. Central Time on VH1 (channel 41 locally).
*No word yet on whether "New Orleans" means New Orleans proper or if the show's actually set in an outer-lying area like Kenner, for example.
