Y@ Speak: In the Navy edition

Posted By on Mon, Apr 23, 2012 at 11:49 AM

If you were alarmed by the low-flying aircrafts (Missy Wilkinson flew on one!) and fleet of imposing ships docked at the river, don't worry — we're not under attack. It was the inaugural NOLA Navy Week, which seemed to satisfy both those with a childlike fascination of really big boats and single women with Sex and the City fleet-week fantasies (I would be OK with not hearing the phrase "I just love a man in uniform!" for a while or ever again). Besides freaking out over big ships, this week people pitched new names and mascots for the Hornets, Arnold Swarchenegger went to French Quarter strip clubs (allegedly!) and local bounce diva Sissy Nobby collaborated with human video game character/rapper Kreayshawn.
