Jazz Fest movies at U.S. Mint will be moved indoors tonight if necessary

Posted by on Wed, May 2, 2012 at 4:06 PM

The New Orleans Film Society has announced that rain won't stop tonight's showing of seven short films from the first Jazz Fest in 1970 at the U.S. Mint in the French Quarter. The planned outdoor presentation will be moved inside the Mint if circumstances require. We can't think of anything more central to the Jazz Fest experience than dealing with a little rain and finding a way to make it work in your favor. If the current forecast holds, Festgoers' mettle may well be tested this coming weekend. Cheap rain parkas work much better than umbrellas at the Fair Grounds, but beware they always sell out early at local drugstores.

More info on tonight's screening can be found here.
