“We are living through the delicious coming-of-age story of our own food culture, written in thousands of kitchens, food shops, and restaurants across the land,” editor Scott Mowbray said in an email about the epicurean magazine’s July feature. “I call it the Great American Food Revolution because changes in taste start locally.”

The article mentions Cure for craft cocktails and restaurants including Dat Dog, Midway Pizza, Company Burger, High Hat Cafe and Ancora.

Other spotlighted places include a sustainable seafood scene building in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Wash., San Francisco’s Bi-Rite Market, Detroit’s Eastern Market and more (click here to see all 25).
