The outdoor screening of the locally made and set movie Tchouplitoulas that was postponed last Friday due to flooding has been rescheduled for this Friday, June 27. As originally planned, the screening will take place at the Old U.S. Mint in the French Quarter, 400 Esplanade Avenue.
The particulars remain the same: Directors Bill and Turner Ross will be in attendance at the screening. Little Freddie King, who appears in the film, will open the evening with a set of live music at 7:30. The screening will follow at around 8:30. Tickets are $3 for Film Society members, Louisiana Museum Foundation members, and Friends of the Cabildo. General admission tickets are $6. Blankets and chairs are recommended, but the Film Society is asking us to refrain from bringing in outside food or drink, as local vendors will be on hand. More information here.
