The New Orleans Museum of Art and the New Orleans Film Society will once again present Friday evenings in the sculpture garden this fall filled with music, art activities, local food and movies. The series kicks off on September 7 with Disney's The Princess and the Frog — which is set in 1920s New Orleans and features tons of local detail in animated form — with music by John Doheny before the screening. On October 19, it's Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds with music by Dave Jordan. The Incredible Shrinking Woman screens on November 9, and the music comes courtesy of Marc Stone.
General admission tickets are $6, NOMA/NOFS member tickets are $3, and children 17 and under are free. Blankets and chairs are recommended. Rain dates are the following Tuesday for each event. Full information including food vendors is available here.
