The New Orleans Film Society has posted the full schedule for the 23rd annual New Orleans Film Festival, which takes place Oct. 11-18 at nine venues across the area including the Prytania Theatre, Contemporary Arts Center, NOMA and Chalmette Movies. Highlights of this year's Festival include an opening night screening of director Lee Daniels' The Paperboy, which is based on Pete Dexter's great Southern Gothic novel and stars Matthew McConaughey and Nicole Kidman; closing night screenings of recent festival-circuit hits The Sessions and The Iceman; and the New Orleans premiere of David O. Russell's much-anticipated Silver Linings Playbook.
The Festival's full schedule is available here, additional information here. It's a remarkably strong slate of films for a festival that continues to grow in international stature. Look for full coverage in Gambit over the coming weeks.
