Experimental showcase Merged Music series relaunches tonight

Posted By Google on Mon, Oct 1, 2012 at 5:05 PM

Merged Music, a biweekly showcase for progressive electronic music, returns for its second season tonight at 10 p.m. The series launched in early 2012 and returns for a slate of shows beginning tonight — performers include Cloak & Dagger, Isidro (Isidro Robinson, one third of post-punk trio Whom Do You Work For?), Justin Peake, Off Balance Atlas, Redrawblak and Adam Bomb.

Peake (an accomplished improviser, drummer and electronic music performer under the moniker Beautiful Bells) assembled the series earlier this year. Stream a compilation of featured performers here — from found-sound pastiche and ambient electronic works to pop- and bass-focused tracks.

Other dates for this season are Oct. 15, Oct. 29, Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10. All performances are at 10 p.m. at the Dragon's Den (435 Esplanade Ave.).
