Film of Led Zeppelin reunion gets two-night run at Elmwood theater

Remember when Led Zeppelin reunited for a single 2007 show in London to pay tribute to late record mogul Ahmet Ertegen? The reunion spawned widespread rumors that the kings of early-'70s rock would return for a major tour. That never happened, thanks mostly to the reluctance of lead singer Robert Plant, who now has a nice, manageable career as an savvy interpreter of American roots music.

Five years later, that one night stand — for which 20 million people reportedly tried to buy the 18,000 available tickets — has been made into a 125-minute film called Celebration Day. It will be shown on October 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Elmwood Palace 20 Theater in Harahan. Tickets are $15 and are already available here.
