Two months ago, Lil Wayne went to court with the producers of The Carter, a 2009 documentary about him, saying they used his music without permission. And the producers — including Quincy Jones III — countersued him, claiming he damaged the market potential of their movie.
The jury didn't see it Wayne's way — and ordered the rapper to pay $2.195 million to the producers. Ouch.
