Canal Place Classics film series starts tonight

Posted by on Thu, Nov 8, 2012 at 3:53 PM

Canal Place Classics is a new weekly film series presenting all-time great movies on Thursday nights throughout November and December at The Theatres at Canal Place. All the films will be screened in the highest quality digital format currently available for each title. Tonight's series opener, The Godfather, is already sold out, but tickets for next week's screening of the Roman Polanski masterpiece Chinatown are on sale here. We never, ever get tired of seeing Chinatown, especially in a top-notch theatrical presentation.

The series grew out of a sold-out showing of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly booked by local film maven Josh Stover at Canal Place last May via online site Tugg.

Here's the full schedule:

Nov. 8: The Godfather (sold out)
Nov. 15: Chinatown
Nov. 29: American Graffiti
Dec. 6: Nashville
Dec. 13: Once Upon a Time in the West
Dec. 20: Cool Hand Luke
Dec. 27: Touch of Evil
