Destiny's Child to plan a Super Bowl reunion?

Following her declaration of all-powerful intergalactic overlord in a GQ profile, Beyonce and her cabinet members in former hit factory Destiny's Child (Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) are reportedly reuniting for a performance during Beyonce's Super Bowl XLVII halftime show.

Us Weekly announced that the group will join Beyonce midway through her set to perform a medley of the group's hits. Beyonce also announced on her website yesterday that the group will release "the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years," with a link to pre-order Love Songs on Amazon.com. The album collects tracks the group recorded between 1997 and 2004 and includes a new track, "Nuclear."

The group formed in 1990 and released four massive studio albums, then announced a hiatus in 2002. It briefly reunited in 2004 to release the almost-swan-song Destiny Fulfilled.

In her GQ profile out this week, Beyonce reveals the level of control she maintains over her image and property, from a Library of Congress-esque archive of literally everything she has ever said or done in public or otherwise, to her tireless worth ethic. "I now know that, yes, I am powerful," she says. "I'm more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand." Not only is she performing on the world's biggest stage, she just announced a $50 million endorsement deal with Pepsi, and two weeks after her Super Bowl show, HBO premieres her pseudo-documentary, then there's a world tour and a new album in the works, all for 2013.

Update: And here's that new Destiny's Child track, over at Mashable.com
