Y@ Speak: Peace signs

Posted By on Mon, May 20, 2013 at 11:55 AM

In a much-needed antidote to the Mother's Day second-line shootings, the 14th Dalai Lama visits New Orleans to share messages of peace and compassion and to put on hats. Also, people who don't even live here squabble over Top Chef: New Orleans accepting money from the BP recovery fund set up after the oil disaster (read about it here and here).

Be sure to look out this week for the release of the Y@ Speak Awards nominees! And don't forget to RSVP to the awards party, which will be held June 3 at Freret Street PubliQ House.
