Gambit Emerging Chefs Challenge to showcase New Orleans' up-and-coming culinary talents

Emerging Chefs Challenge
, a cooking competition that will be held Aug. 28 at The Cannery
in Mid-City. Twelve finalists have been invited to participate. Each will serve a specialty small plate or dish of his or her own choosing, and attendees will taste and vote on their favorites.
• Qualifying candidates must currently be employed in the greater New Orleans area.
• They must also currently hold the position of head chef, executive chef or chef de cuisine
• Chefs must not have held this position for longer than 3 years

of We’ve Got Soul, Vanessa Thurber
of Vine & Dine and Brad McGehee
of Ye Olde College Inn.
Your $25 ticket includes a taste of all 12 contestants' dishes, two beer or wine drinks, and one vote to help determine the winner, who will receive a $1,000 prize. Additional information, chef biographies, and limited tickets are now available online
