Update, March 25: The April 25 concert has changed venues. It will be at Champions Square. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 28 via Ticketmaster.
As part of her 22-date North American tour, "Nashville" Instagram filter Lana Del Ray will perform at
the Sugar Mill (1021 Convention Center Blvd., 504-586-0004) at 10 p.m. April 25 at Champions Square on LaSalle Street. The Nancy Sinatra-inspired dramatic chanteuse (see below: her cover of Sinatra's Lee Hazlewood track "Summer Wine") is touring in support of her 2012 debut Born To Die and the anticipated 2014 follow-up Ultraviolence.
Del Ray's collaged video for her 2011 debut single "Video Games" — a glamorous and doomed modern ballad — attracted millions of views. Her YouTube channel previously caught the attention of Stranger Records, which released "Video Games" and her full-length, Born to Die, which also was released through Interscope and Polydor.
