Taste at the Lake postponed due to rain forecast, rescheduled for May 31

The Taste at the Lake festival scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until late May due to forecasts of rain. The fourth annual celebration of food, music, wine and community is rescheduled for Saturday, May 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 135 Robert E. Lee Blvd., adjacent to Robert Fresh Market.

More than 30 restaurants will offer food, including Mondo, The Velvet Cactus, Two Tony's, Copelands and Le Foret, and there will be beer, wine and other beverages available.

Amanda Shaw, New Orleans Rock n Soul Band and Soljet will provide live music from 5:45 p.m. till closing (Amanda Shaw goes on about 8 p.m.).

Tickets are $45, $100 for patrons and are available at Lakeview Grocery and Robert Fresh Market. Proceeds benefit recovery and beautification efforts in Lakeview.
