Well this is just the best.
Yesterday, NOLA Brewing announced their newest brew: Rebirth Pale Ale. It's not available until April 16th, but it's already my favorite beer ever.
The tap handle is topped by a replica of the tuba played by Rebirth Brass Band founder Phil Frazier. The handle itself is shaped to look like the valves on a brass horn. Overall, it's a pretty awesome piece considering it's more or less just a lever that gets people drunk.
But beyond just paying tribute to one of New Orleans' most iconic bands, portions of the sales of Rebirth Pale Ale will also be donated to the Roots of Music Marching Crusaders, the free after-school music education program founded by Rebirth snare drummer Derrick Tabb.
So bottoms up to a great band and an even better cause (hopefully the beer isn't too bad, either).
