Film Society's Metropolis rescheduled for Friday night

Postponed from last weekend due to weather, the New Orleans Film Society's presentation of Fritz Lang's 1927 dystopian sci-fi classic Metropolis has been rescheduled for Friday, May 16 at sundown (around 8:00 p.m.) at the Old U.S. Mint, 400 Esplanade Avenue in the French Quarter. The silent film by German expressionist Fritz Lang will be accompanied by a musical score perfomed live by Helen Gillet, Javier Gutierrez and Pascal Valcasara. General admission is $5, and $3 for NOFS/Alliance Francaise/Louisiana Museum Foundation/Friends of the Cabildo members.
