June 21 is the longest day of the year, and to celebrate, Good Eggs NOLA is hosting a Summer Solstice Celebration, complete with the local food for which the company is known, drinks, live music, contests and games.

The party will last from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Good Eggs Warehouse at 1746 Tchoupitoulas St. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door, and you can order them here. One ticket gets you one meal ticket and one drink ticket, plus lots of samples from local growers and makers. With the Eat Local Challenge in full swing till June 30, it's a good opportunity to get your foods grown within a 200-mile radius of New Orleans.

And to make that easier seven days a week, year-round, Good Eggs announced this week that it will start delivering over the weekends, for free, too.
