Foo Fighters head back to New Orleans this fall for the 16th annual Voodoo Music Experience, which also features the recently reunited hip-hip duo Outkast, as well as Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Slayer and many others.
The three-day festival returns to City Park on Halloween weekend, Friday, Oct. 31-Sunday, Nov. 2.

This year's Voodoo also features Action Bronson, AWOLNATION, Bleachers, Big Freedia, City and Colour, Claude VonStroke, Death From Above 1979, Fishbone, Fedde Le Grand, Flux Pavilion, Galantis, GIVERS, Gogol Bordello, Griz, Manchester Orchestra, The Melvins, Peelander Z, Pete Tong, Pretty Lights, Rise Against, Sturgill Simpson, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Thomas Gold, Twenty One Pilots, a DJ set form Booka Shade, The Wild Feathers and Yung Nation, among several dozen others to be announced. Voodoo will release the complete schedule in September.
The festival marks the Foo Fighters promise to return to New Orleans following its "secret" windows-open blow out at Preservation Hall last month. The gig was part of the band's cross-country musical roadtrip for its HBO series Sonic Highways. The band also will release its eighth studio album in November.
Outkast — which is currently on a sort of reunion tour hitting up a couple dozen festivals this year for its 20th anniversary — was a hopeful for this year's Jazz Fest lineup, but the group did headline May's Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Tickets for the 2014 Voodoo Fest go on sale June 27 on the website. The price of single-day tickets will be announced soon. A three-day general admission ticket is $150, and a three-day Loa VIP pass is $350. There are other ticket packages that include parking, backstage access, luxury camping and more.
