CAC announces 2014-2015 performance season

The Contemporary Arts Center announced its 2014-2015 season. It's the biggest calendar of performances presented by the CAC in recent years and it includes a diverse array of musicians — Meshell Ndegeocello, Yo La Tengo, Ethiopian singer/songwriter Meklit Hadero and Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval — and multimedia works such as the aerial Carnival piece The Grand Parade by Double Edge Theatre.

Visual art shows include Mark of the Feminine (Aug. 2-Oct. 4), Prospect.3 shows (Oct. 25-Jan. 25, 2015), En Mas: Carnival and Performance Art of the Caribbean (March 7, 2015-June 7, 2015) and recent works by Radcliffe Bailey (March 7, 2015-June 7, 2015).

The performing arts season is as follows:

An Iliad by Denis O'Hare, Sept. 27-28

Meshell Ndegeocello performs work from her album Comet, Come to Me, Oct. 10

The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller, a live documentary piece performed with Yo La Tengo, Nov. 7

Now Now Oh Now by Rude Mechanicals, Nov. 20-22

Sidra Bell Dance, Dec. 5-6

Arturo Sandoval, Jan. 23, 2015

Meklit Hadero, March 6-7, 2015
