Fresh off a Bastille Day celebration which included costumes, accordions, and a restaurant-wide singalong of the French national anthem, Old Metairie French bistro Chateau du Lac will be barreling ahead with plans to open a New Orleans location by mid-August in a space formerly occupied by La Boca, according to general manager Jack Stahl.

The CBD location will go by the name Chateau du Lac Warehouse Bistro, and feature an expanded wine list and menu.

"We want the new location to be a little bit more creative, a little bit more adventurous," said Stahl. "We'll be adding in fresh items that appeal to a downtown crowd."

Formerly located at 857 Fulton St., La Boca shuffled into the A Mano space when the Italian restaurant shuttered late last year.
