Move over, Wing Snack: there's a new kid in town.

The Creole Pot (767 N. Claiborne Avenue) is the popular chicken wing spot's new next-door neighbor, serving up a variety of New Orleans classics near the Claiborne overpass.

Located in a charmingly small, wooden building complete with hand-painted signs and a shaded patio area, The Creole Pot opened quietly this spring, but closed in July to undergo renovations and a menu overhaul. The new menu features a wide variety of comfort food standards, including house made yakamein, shrimp Alfredo, a pork chop plate, and a particularly delicious peach cobbler. If you're interested in cooling off, the restaurant also serves snowballs.

The Creole Pot is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday (and some Sundays). For more information, follow along via Facebook.
