The New Orleans Film Society's 25th Annual New Orleans Festival will bring dozens of new films to venues across the city October 16 to 23. Opening the 2014 festival will be Black and White, a New Orleans-shot drama directed by Mike Binder and starring Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer as grandparents embroiled in a custody battle. The festival's closing film is The Big Beat, director Joe Lauro's documentary about the early days of Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew and the development of R&B in New Orleans.
All-access passes for this years festival go on sale Sept. 1 at the Film Society's website. Individual tickets will be available for purchase by Film Society members on Oct. 1. Tickets for the general public go on sale Oct. 13.
