Morris Day
headlines 2016's West Bank Heritage Festival on Labor Day Weekend, joining more than two dozen New Orleans hip-hop, bounce, funk, R&B, jazz and brass bands over two-days at the Alario Center in Westwego.

R&B stars Jodeci also headline the lineup featuring DJ Jubilee, 5th Ward Weebie, Partners-N-Crime, Lucky Lou and the Free Agents Brass Band, among others, on Sept. 3. Day — a longtime Prince collaborator, Purple Rain co-star and, of course, The Time's famously funky, flashy bandleader — headlines on Sept. 4 on a bill with Mystikal, Shamarr Allen and Kourtney Heart.

The second annual festival runs noon-9 p.m. Sept. 3-4. Admission is free.
