Zagat announces 30 Under 30 list for New Orleans culinary industry

Restaurant guide Zagat has released its first "30 Under 30" list for leaders in the New Orleans culinary industry.

The compilation from the international restaurant guide features up-and-coming stars in the food, beverage and hospitality industries, including both front and back-of-the-house positions. Following an online solicitation, Zagat complied the nominations and reviewed and edited the list, which was released Aug. 16.

The final selection is heavy on LeBlanc + Smith employees, including nominees from all four of the restaurant group’s properties (Cavan, Barrel Proof, Sylvain and Meauxbar). There’s also a good deal of Besh Group employees and St. Roch Market vendors.
