Lauryn Hill will bring her MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling tour to Saenger Theatre Dec. 1.

The hip-hop and neosoul singer launched the Diaspora Calling festival in April at Kings Theater in Brooklyn. The event featured artists including Machel Montano from Trinidad, Stephen "Ragga" Marley from Jamaica, Stonebwoy from Ghana, Paul Beaubrun from Haiti, Wondaboy from Nigeria and others. The tour will feature artists from African Diaspora nations.

Hill performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April. She also performed at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in 2014, when she irked fans by starting her scheduled set late and then also arrived late to a second added set.

Hill's career is highlighted by her work with The Fugees and her 1998 landmark studio album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She has released new music and performed sporadically since. Hill contributed work to a Nina Revisited... A Tribute to Nina Simone in 2015 and performed in an edition of Austin City Limits released in early August.

Tickets to the New Orleans show go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 26.
