ORGAN CONCERT AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL. St. Andrew's Church, South Carrollton and Zimple streets. Organist Joseph Foxhood gives an organ program followed by a reception. Donations encouraged to help defray cost of new pipe organ expenses. 6 p.m.

HEART OF THE AMERICAS. Musee Conti Wax Museum, 917 Rue Conti, 887-4565. Cocktail party to raise funds for cardiac patients in need of open-heart surgery in Latin America. Evening features music by Johnny Angel & the Swingin' Demons. Tickets $35 person. 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Christian Women Fellowship Tea invites women of all ages to attend and hear its guest speaker, minister and evangelist Gwendolyn Q. Cotton of New Home Ministries in New Orleans. A portion of the proceeds from the game will purchase school supplies for students attending New Orleans area schools. School supply donations will be accepted. Tickets $5. Noon.

JAZZ ROOTS CONCERT. Fairmont Grand Ballroom, 123 Baronne St. Jazz Roots concert celebrates 25 years of raising money for more than 50 charities. Evening includes music by Dr. Frank Minyard, Harry Connick Sr. and 96-year-old Norma Minyard. Tickets $5 at door. 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

TRINITY ARTIST SERIES. Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave., 522-0276. British Clarinet Ensemble performs a program of Mozart, Stravinsky and Milhaud. Free admission. 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

RUN FOR ANGELS. Live Bait Bar and Grill, 501 River Road, Jefferson, 455-2620. A 5K run/walk to benefit Angels' Place, a nonprofit organization that helps children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses, and their families. Admission $15 day of race. 7 p.m.
