Katherine Adams,
an English professor at Loyola University, has won the school's 25th Dux Academicus Award for leadership, excellence in both teaching and scholarship, and for notable contributions to the Loyola campus. Adams, a Loyola professor since 1987, is also an editor and author who recently published A Group of Their Own: College Writing Courses and American Women Writers, 1880-1940.
