2000 St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc
Napa Valley, California
$12-$16
From start to finish, all the things one would expect in a classic, crisp Sauvignon Blanc, beginning with a pale yellow color with glimmers of green in the glass, followed by striking aromas that spring forth with notes of lime, citrus and grapefruit. The same delicate flavors dominate the palate, ending with a grapefruit flourish and a light, but firm crispness. A great summer wine that would be a marvelous accompaniment to spicy boiled shrimp, oyster or crawfish dishes, fish with buttery sauces, Thai and other Asian cuisines. Available at Dorignac's, Elio's Wine Warehouse, Sav-A-Center, Robert's Fresh Market at Robert E. Lee, Breaux Mart, The Cellars of River Ridge, Antonio's Wine Cellar, Langenstein's, Vieux Carre Wine and Spirits, Hugh's Wine Cellar in Mandeville. -- Brenda Maitland
