2000 Buckeley's Cabernet-Shiraz
South Australia
$8-$11

An affordable wine of consistent quality with vibrant fruit flavors, this wine is a blend of 55 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 45 percent Shiraz. Made from grapes selected from premium South Australian growing regions such as McLaren Vale, Longhorne Creek and Limestone Coast, the wine is made with very little intervention to allow the varietal fruit character to come through. On the nose, aromas of blackberry fruit, black pepper and hints of cedar lead into currants, plum, herbs and hints of fresh coffee and licorice flavors on the palate. Good with roast beef, pork chops, barbecue chicken and burgers. Available at Dorignac's, Meme's Market, Antonio's Wine Cellar, Elio's Wine Warehouse, Robert's Fresh Market on Robert E. Lee and Wine Down in Mandeville.
