Annual holiday event with a light show throughout City Park, cultural exhibits, live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, children's attractions and more. Two-mile walking tour admission $5 per person (kids three and under free); driving tour $10 per car; carriage rides available. Open nightly from 5:30 p.m. 10:30 p.m., through Jan. 5.

CELEBRATION OF THE SEASON. Lafreniere Park, Metairie, 833-5703. Seasonal lights displayed nightly from dusk until 10 p.m., through Jan. 5. On Saturday, choirs and school bands of J.D. Meisler (6:30 p.m.) and St. Louis King of France (7 p.m.) perform concerts. Free admission.
