This quirky Riverbend restaurant has a menu as inviting as its pre-Civil War cottage digs. The outside dining area seems almost like a neighborhood deck party, but with much better food. This relatively new, take-out only restaurant is quickly creating a name for itself. Located one and a half blocks off of Airline Drive, Maw Maw's serves up home-style comfort food. Savory housemade New Orleans hot tamales are a house specialty, as is the roast beef; Wednesday evening is steak night, where Maw Maw serves up a juicy 10-ounce boneless ribeye for just $10. MAXIMO'S ITALIAN GRILL

For nearly 17 years, Maximo's has made a name for itself down on lower Decatur Street for its expansive menu of Italian dishes. Chef Paul Cattoche has been a part of that success for nine years.
