2001 Maso Canali Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio
Trentino, Tre Venezie, Italy
$16-$19

Italy's most northern wine region, Trentino-Alto Aldige, enveloped by Alpine peaks on the north, with breathtakingly beautiful vineyards on every inch of its high terraces, narrow valleys and steep hillsides, offers Pinot Grigio wines with a style more in tune with its Austrian neighbor to the north. Made from 100 percent Pinot Grigio (aka Pinot Gris), Maso Canali is a well-balanced wine exhibiting true varietal character with floral, citrus and tropical fruit aromas, followed by crisp fruit flavors of apricot, lemon and pineapple with spice and mineral notes. An easy-drinking wine, especially with fish, shellfish, light pasta dishes and Asian cuisine. Available at both Whole Foods Markets, Vieux Carré Wine and Spirits, Dorignac's, and Sav-A-Centers on Tchoupitoulas Street, Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Clearview Expressway and both Mandeville locations.
