Perfect 10

Now this is a nice way to enjoy summertime dining on a budget. Throughout most of the summer, BACCO Restaurant (310 Chartres St., 522-2426) will offer $10 dinner entrees. The Italian offering from Ralph Brennan include six entrees nightly from dishes such as shrimp and artichoke lasagna, salmon pizza, crawfish and blood-orange penne, herb-roasted chicken and Venetian-style catfish. All in all, there will be 10 entrees in rotation, as Executive Chef Haley Gabel and Chef de Cuisine Steve McHugh present an encore performance from last summer's successful promotion. For more info, visit www.bacco.com.
Also, belated congratulations to Ralph Brennan for winning the 2003 Employer of Choice Award from the National Restaurant Association's Education Foundation. The group provides educational resources and other information to bolster the food and food-service workforce. The award was presented at the Restaurant Hotel Motel Show in Chicago earlier this month.

The market will feature everything from honey, jams and jellies to melons, raw and frozen seafood, and desserts. Artwork for the market is being provided by Lorraine Gendron. For more information, call (985) 783-5140 or (985) 783-6231.
