The lowdown on Saints season tickets and individual game tickets

Acknowledging that season-ticket holders provide the foundation for every NFL franchise, the New Orleans Saints have aimed their season-ticket packages this year at a wide range of potential customers.

The packages are among the lowest in the league, starting at the $150 level, which includes the two home preseason games (against the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins) and all eight regular-season games. This year the Saints play host to conference rivals Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Carolina, in addition to match-ups against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears.

The $150 season-ticket package is for seats in the Terrace End Zone section, and the prices rise according to seat location. The most expensive Club-level packages include early access to the Superdome on game days and access to private lounges that broadcast additional NFL games.

Here's the complete breakdown of season-ticket prices by location:

Terrace End Zone: $150

Terrace Corner: $300

Terrace Sideline: $400

Suite Hospitality: $450

Upper Box End Zone: $520

Plaza End Zone: $540

Upper Box Sideline: $520

Club End Zone: $630

Plaza Sideline: $690

Suite: $750

Club End Zone (includes club fee): $1130

Club Sideline: $1200

As further incentive for season ticket sales, the Saints are offerering a "Lots of Lagniappe" benefit package for season ticket holders. Items in the package include discounts to Saints-sponsored events, invitations to private team practices at training camp, an annual "Chalk Talk" with members of Saints staff, a team photo and first priority on playoff tickets.

Individual game tickets range in price from $60 to $100, and $150 tickets (which include a $50 Club fee) are also available. (The Atlanta Falcons game is already sold out.) Discounted rates are available to groups of 20 or more.

2003 Saints tickets are available by calling the Saints ticket office in Metairie at 731-1700. Individual game tickets can also be purchased through the Saints Web site (www.neworleanssaints.com) or through Ticketmaster (522-5555 or www.ticketmaster.com).
