MARS AND THE STARS. Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, Joe Brown Memorial
Park, I-10 Exit at Read Blvd., 378-4113. View the closest approach of Mars
to Earth in more than 70,000 years. Event features telescopes for viewing, demonstrations,
planetarium shows, nature hikes and marshmallow roasting. Admission $6 adults,
$4 children members, $7 adults, $5 children non-members. 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

AQUARIUM 13TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, 1
Canal St., 565-3033. The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas celebrates its 13th
anniversary with staff discussions, arts and crafts, scavenger hunt, appearances
by Otteaux and more. All outdoor activities free; aquarium admission $14 adults,

New Orleans obituaries preceding dinner at The Royal Garden Terrace Room. Lecture

UNIVERSOUL CIRCUS. Lake Forest Park Plaza, Lot 2, 1500 Read Road. UniverSoul
Circus presents "Soul in the City," featuring 13 acts including clowns, aerialists,
exotic beasts and international performers. Tickets for weekday matinee shows
