Preservation Resource Center's 19th annual effort helps low-income, elderly
or disabled homeowners improve their homes with volunteer home-repair efforts.
Repairs are done in various historic neighborhoods. Non-skilled volunteers and

RACE FOR THE CURE. City Park at Roosevelt Mall, 482-6682. The Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation hosts race to raise funds for breast cancer research,
education and treatment. Event also features "Milk Mustache Model," with visitors
allowed to pose with milk mustaches, try new flavors and consult with a dietician.
Model event free admission. Food and entertainment follows race. Pre-registration
$20, $25 day of race, $10 17 and under. Model event 7 a.m., race registration
7:45 a.m., race 9 a.m.
WALK/RUN FOR BATTERED WOMEN. Packenham Oaks, corner of Paris Road
