Share Our Strength, an anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization holds "A Taste of Jack Daniel's," featuring a guided tasting, cocktails, appetizers and special guest Jimmy Bedford, master distiller for Jack Daniel's. BAYOU BAMBOULA. Pitot House and Gardens, 1440 Moss St., 482-0312. The Louisiana Landmarks Society recreates a celebration of African dance and drumming to benefit the Pitot House. Includes open bar, food from city restaurants, a silent auction and entertainment by Sunpie. Tickets $35-$75. 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. Tipitina's, 501 Napoleon Ave., 943-6464. The nonprofit organization Siren to Wail, dedicated to prevention and awareness of Hepatitis C, holds a benefit concert and auction. Features music by Dr. John, Art Neville, Buddy Guy, Timothea and others, plus a buffet, wine and medical testing. Tickets $175 per couple. 8 p.m.

FLAPPER. Loyola University, Danna Center, St. Charles Room, 861-2086. Etcetera of New Orleans hosts the cabaret-style theme party to raise funds for the Geoffrey Scholarship. Entertainment features Bianca Del Rio, Tommy Alias and others in a tribute to Chicago. Tickets $20 general, $15 students. Group rates available. 9 p.m. to midnight.
