The flagship location of Alex Patout's on the French Quarter serves Cajun roast
duck on a bed of oyster dressing, accompanied by a sweet potato praline casserole
and macque choux. The Fish Louisiana offers a choice of five different fish offerings,
which are cooked any way you like (grilled, broiled, sauteed, fried) and topped
with your choice of toppings and sauces. Reservations recommended. Dinner daily

THE ALPINE

Founded in 1961 by a Swiss immigrant, this restaurant is unapologetically
Cajun. Breakfast includes the crawfish omelette with hollandaise sauce and the
Cajun omelette with mushrooms, tasso and smoked ham. Dinner brings mega meals
like a 10-oz. ribeye steak and a red snapper topped with crawfish sauce. Reservations

CAJUN BISTRO

This bistro offers all the specialties of the swamp, to be eaten in the dining
room to the accompaniment of live zydeco and swamp pop music. The Paw Paw Cajun
Sampler Feast lets you taste seafood gumbo, alligator boudin, jambalaya and fried

CAJUN CABIN

Just upstairs from the Cajun Bistro, the Cabin gives diners a great view from
the largest balcony on Bourbon Street. Po-boys, crawfish and shucked oysters by

The menu changes daily to incorporate fresh seafood and produce, and even the
andouille is made in-house. Blackening and frying reign supreme, as does heavy
seasoning. Popular dishes have become menu staples. Blackened twin beef tenders
debris features a pair of petite filets, seasoned and blackened in a cast iron
skillet and served with debris sauce. Reservations recommended. Dinner Monday

MICHAUL'S LIVE CAJUN MUSIC RESTAURANT

Locals and tourists enjoy live Cajun music and the food, which includes barbecue
shrimp: large, fresh shrimp served in the shells and otherwise known as ³spicy,
delicious and messy.² Consider the Catfish Pecan, a fillet of catfish dipped
in a seasoned egg batter, encrusted in roasted pecans, fried to perfection and
laced with lemon butter sauce. In between music sets, enjoy free Cajun dance instruction.
