BREWPUB
ABITA BREW PUB
72011 Holly St., Abita Springs
(985) 892-5837
www.abita.com
While the freshly brewed, on-tap Abita varieties are the typical draw to
this Northshore spot, the food is nothing to scoff at. The appetizers often
have beer worked into the recipe, such as the crab claws sauteed in Abita Amber
and rosemary barbecue sauce, and the inventive entrees include the Stuffed Shrimp
Tchefuncte, where jumbo shrimp are stuffed with an oyster cornbread dressing.
Reservations accepted for parties of four or more. Lunch and dinner daily. Credit
cards. $$
CRESCENT CITY BREWHOUSE

www.crescentcitybrewhouse.com
The freshly brewed beer is the most obvious draw here, where the sampling option
lets you try the four regular varieties and the seasonal brew. The menu includes
entrees such as the tempura-fried tuna roll, mussels gratinee served with spinach-basil
pesto, and the seared redfish topped with fried oysters and black pepper barbecue
sauce. Reservations recommended. Lunch and dinner daily. Credit cards. $$
