CAFE ZEN 2112 Belle Chasse Hwy., Gretna 393-2293 This West Bank sushi spot continues the tradition of sister restaurants Hana and Kanpai in New Orleans, with glistening slabs of sashimi and elaborate sushi rolls like the Special Salmon Roll, in which deep-fried salmon is stuffed with snow crab and wrapped in sticky rice and seaweed. HANA JAPANESE RESTAURANT 8116 Hampson St. 865-1634 This neighborhood favorite is both a sushi bar and a full Japanese restaurant, providing light lunches and hot meals of noodles or cooked fish.
