Mid-City Neighborhood Organization's (MCNO) Original Chocolate Affair -- featuring confections, champagne, chocolate martinis, food, live music and a silent auction -- is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Brewhouse Grill (201 N. Carrollton Ave., 484-0525). Tony Green and Gypsy Jazz will provide the music; the auction will feature creations by artists from the Mid-City Art Market. Tickets are $20 in advance (call 482-6254 or 486-MCNO) or $25 at the door. Proceeds will be used to fund MCNO neighborhood projects.
Ele Shoes and Accessories (3638 Magazine St., 309-8674), which opened late last month, is having a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26. Customers are invited to sample food and wine while perusing the shoes, handbags and accessories at the new store. Regular store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
Memorable Occasions Diversified LLC will present a bridal show and cocktail event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, at J. Ballard Banquet Facility (72 Westbank Expwy., Gretna). The event features a fashion show and bridal-related products and services from a variety of vendors as well as a $100 door prize. Seating is limited. Call 256-1779 for reservations.
