Delgado Community College
registered 16,787 students at its New Orleans-area campuses this spring -- continuing a record-breaking trend that began in the fall of 2002, says Chancellor Alex Johnson. Women (70 percent) and minorities (57 percent) dominate the rolls at Delgado, which was founded in 1921.

Chloe Suazo,
a Metairie native, will be featured in a new HBO sitcom The Comeback, playing the stepdaughter of star Lisa Kudrow. Suazo took acting lessons at New Orleans¹ John Robert Powers School and moved to California last September, where she is in the seventh grade. Suazo has already filmed the pilot and 13 more episodes will be put on tape this spring.

Allen Bristow,
the New Orleans Hornets general manager, accomplished another in a series of important trades by sending Baron Davis to Golden State for Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis, and Jamal Mashburn and Rodney Rogers to the Philadelphia 76ers for Glenn Robinson. The Hornets cleared about $20 million of salary cap space and rid themselves of two often-injured malcontents.

Jimmy Fahrenholtz
a lawyer and re-elected reform member of the Orleans Parish School Board, keeps blowing deadlines to file campaign finance disclosure reports. The Louisiana Ethics Commission has ordered the board to garnish his public salary until he pays $2,000 for one late filing. He faces an additional $7,440 in fines for six separate cases of late filings. No other school board member in the state owes the ethics board more money, records show.
