A white, ribbed scoop-neck tank by Classic Girl, $12, is coupled with a striped silk flared skirt by To The Max, $109, and is dressed up with a double-strand turquoise and button-abalone necklace with a bone-shaped pendant, $24. Cocoa, yellow and aqua fabrics are sculpted into a spaghetti-strap sundress with a pleated skirt by BCBG, $200, from Azby's (5531 Magazine St., 895-1311). It's worn with a silk-ribbon necklace with a silver drop by local artist Aubrey Warren, $22, from Giggleberries (5509 Magazine St., 899-5509).

Leather sandals have a thong design and are decorated with turquoise and copper coins by Mystique, $85, from Azby's (5531 Magazine St., 895-1311).

A woven white boucle jacket with wide lapels and a large pearl button, $308, is worn over a dynamic purple mini skirt with sequins and beads forming floral designs, $105; both from Elizabeth's (204 Metairie Road, 833-3717; 1525 Lapalco Blvd., Harvey, 368-9575). Chandelier earrings with egg pearl drops and turquoise centers on gold filigree are by Gerald Yosca, $198, from Il Negozio (3607 Magazine St., 269-0130).

Light blue cropped pants have gold chain links and zebra print by Fabrizio Gianni, $143, and are matched with a yellow V-neck shell with stripes knitted into it by Vermani, $84; both from She She Boutique (3908 Hwy. 22, Mandeville, 985-624-3733).

Great for a barefoot walk on a moonlit beach or a dressier night on the town is a frock made with sheer fabric that has been given special vintage treatments and has tiers of ruffles in graduated colors that start with peach at the top and end with hot pink on the bottom by Jill Stuart, $688, from Il Negozio (3607 Magazine St., 269-0130). It's worn with chunky beads strung on ribbon made from a silk scarf by Megan Park, $100, from Pied Nu (5521 Magazine St., 899-4118).

Transition easily from the office to more casual amusements after work with a white eyelet button-front blouse with cuffed sleeves by Johnny Cotton, $138, over blue-and-white seersucker low-rise pants by Alvin Valley, $248; both from Il Negozio (3607 Magazine St., 269-0130). Spunk it up with chandelier earrings made with Swarovski crystals, coin pearls and dangling sterling silver chains, $90, from The Bead Shop (4612 Magazine St., 895-6161; 800 Metairie Road, Metairie, 837-0371).

A mango boat-neck sweater by Maple Street Clothing, $26, is worn over white, low-rise Bermuda shorts by Juicy Couture, $102, and double-hoop earrings beaded with crystals, $16, all from Gae-tana's (7732 Maple St., 865-9625). The reversible belt is brocade on one side and velvet on the other by Wink, $86, from Bellini (474 Metairie Road, Metairie, 835-2021).
