All About Fashion

The All About Me! store in Metairie has added tanning beds and is significantly expanding the size of its shoe department.
When you visit All About Me! (3256 Severn Ave., Metairie, 888-6463; 1201 E. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, 278-3400; www.allaboutmestyle.com), you not only can leave with a complete outfit replete with shoes and jewelry, but also a sun-kissed glow from in-store tanning beds.

The tanning beds are new additions to the Metairie store, which opened a few months ago in the Lakeside Vieux Carre Shopping Center at the corner of Severn Avenue and 17th Street (across from Lakeside Shopping Center), but have been drawing regulars at the Chalmette store for a year and a half.

Shoppers in Metairie soon will find expanded choices in footwear as well, says owner Angela Campagna Balli. "We're in the process in Metairie of making it a full-fledged shoe store. We have a lot of room. We carry denim and casual clothes to dresses, tanning, jewelry and accessories."

Clothing brands include Necessary Objects, Chinese Laundry, ToTheMax, Seven jeans (in the Chalmette store), XOXO, Hot Kiss and Kenzie, and apparel choices are constantly updated.

"We get new stuff pretty much every day, so the mix is changing all the time," says Balli. "I try to make sure my stores reflect what is going on in fashion but don't make them so far-fetched that people can't wear them. When they get something home, I want them to love it."
