Garden accessories add glitz to nature.

A brass sculpture of a garden fairy is perched on a stake (for easy placement) and holds a variegated tube that serves as a rain gauge, $34.99, from Perino's Garden Center and Gifts (3100 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, 834-7888).

Assembled from salvaged architectural items that have been dipped and painted is a square-top planter with a wrought-iron plant holder on the bottom and decorative iron work in the center, $75; with four purple Ageratum hybrids in 4-inch pots, $4 each; from The Plant Gallery (9401 Airline Hwy., Metairie, 488-8887).

A hummingbird feeder is made from a purple glass bottle that is inverted and set into a swirl of copper and decorated with beads and twisted copper wire, $37, from American Aquatic Gardens (621 Elysian Fields Ave., 944-0410).
