Not everyone can make it till midnight to ring in the New Year. Younger revelers have a couple of options to get a head start on the celebration. The Louisiana Children's Museum hosts a very early New Year's Party (Sat., Dec. 30) featuring the Imagination Movers (pictured). Festivities also include a balloon launch, confetti drop and a toast. At the Audubon Zoo, families can rejoice at Noon Year's Eve. The celebration includes RadioDisney's countdown to noon and music by Cajun-fiddler Amanda Shaw and 4 Part Angel. Festivities include games and prizes. Reservations are required for the Children's Museum party. Tickets $8 general admission, $3 members. Audubon party free with regular admission. -- Will Coviello
