The Preservation Resource Center is seeking photography entries for a juried exhibition titled New Orleans' Favorite Shotguns. Jurors are looking for striking images of shotgun houses and 100-word captions that reveal the human story behind each image. April 15 is the deadline for digital entries to be considered for the exhibit, which opens July 29 in connection with the opening of Cottage Living Magazine's 2007 Idea Home in Uptown New Orleans. The Arts Council of New Orleans' Business Program for Artists will present a "Survive and Thrive" weekend workshop for visual artists March 24-25 at Tulane University's Jones Hall (Room 306) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artists will hone their entrepreneurial skills in a practical workshop developed and presented by New Orleans artist Thomas Mann. The registration fee ($40 for members, $60 for non-members) includes lunch and all workshop materials.
