Creole and Italian dishes come together on the menu. The seafood cannelloni is a pasta sheet stuffed with lump crabmeat and Gulf shrimp in a rich dressing. It is then baked and topped with a sun-dried tomato cream sauce with a dash of housemade pesto. The grilled seafood platter is loaded with catfish fillets, crab cakes and jumbo Gulf shrimp. It is served with lemon butter and a choice of one of eight side dishes. Reservations recommended. Lunch and dinner Tue.-Sat. Credit cards. $$

Located inside the Riverfront Hotel, 7 on Fulton is a spacious restaurant in a converted historic warehouse space. The menu features dishes like a duo of a 6-oz. filet mignon and horseradish-crusted short ribs served with sweet-and-sour shallots and a spiced wine sauce. A pan-sauteed duck breast is served with salsify and foie gras ravioli and a chocolate sauce. There are classic French dishes available for lunch through June 3 in honor of the Femme, Femme, Femme exhibit at NOMA. Reservations recommended. Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Credit cards. $$$

Almost anytime of the day you can find a lively, friendly crowd at the bar and sit down for a meal. For breakfast, try the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich served on sourdough bread.
